open the rear hatch. pull back the carpet/felt. remove the 5 plastic screws/wingnuts. and separate the light housing from the vehicle. twist the bulbs to remove. install is reverse.

Open the hatch - exposing the mounting screws going through the plastic lens housing into the body sheet metal. Remove the screws - lift/slide out the lens housing exposing the light socket. Turn socket slightly in housing and remove. Change bulb - Re-assembly is the reverse of removal.

The nut inside the moter housing could be broken. Also, the plastic guides on the pull down track could be brittle and broken. I just replaced my moter housing, guides and nut and the moter works fine now.
