it can be the vacuum pump that is not working.the vacuum pump is in the boot on the right hand side. remove cover, put hand on vacuum pump and feel if it starts when remote is pressed

Check that alternator is charging battery properly and change battery to see if you still getting same issues. It can also be a leak in your car radio, burnt alternator diode, or a shorted coil in the central locking system or windows.
Do the simple thing first. Replace the batteries in the keyfob. The batteries are available at any big box store and if they have a jewelry department they might change them for you.
if removed and replaced properly the interior locking button should always work.
You lock the car with the central locking. Then unlock it via the key (manually). then turn the key to the first setting, you must do it quickly as it has a timer for the alarm. then you can disconnect the battery and replace/charge it. when you're done, put the battery back in and turn the ignition back off and its back to normal again. It will ask you for a code if you have satnav but its written in the book.
Skyscan Atomic Clock Model 86722ALU needs a reset after a battery change, or needs a battery change.
