Low coolant? Bad thermostat? check to see if fans are working. cracked block , head or blow head gasket. also bad gauge switch will make it look like the motor is overheating.
A cracked turbo on a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI can potentially lead to burning coolant rather than water. If the crack allows coolant to enter the exhaust system, it can result in white smoke, which is a sign of burning coolant. However, if the turbo is cracked but not leaking coolant, it won't directly cause water to burn. It's essential to inspect the turbo for any signs of damage and address any leaks to avoid serious engine issues.
Look right underneath the coolant hose where the radiator cap is. It should be located there.

It is your mass air flow light sensor that is located on the air filter boxI originally thought it might have something to do with my electrical system, because it seemed to come on corresponding to times when my batter would die. After searching, I read in one place that somebody believes it to be when your engine coolant is low.I'm going to try the coolant idea [though it is January, so I cannot imagine my engine being too warm?]. Good luck to you in finding the solution, if you are having it come on.it is infact your coolant light the maf will just trigger a cel if it is going bad and eventually just wont let your car start if gone badthe birdcage is your coolant light if your low it will triggerLow coolant level.
