yes
NO, That year truck MUST have the 4L60E transmission put in it.
yes. it is a 82-86 gm 700r4.
Yes, It will bolt right up to it with no problems.
NO You can not. The compurter and wreing harness in the 1990 will not hook up are even shift the 4L60E transmission. You MUST put the 700R4 back in it.
yes, hurst has about 3 of them that will work and there are a couple other companies out there also, look on the summit racing website.
Any windshield washer tank from a GM A/G body would work - Chevy El Camino (1978-87), Malibu (1978-83), Monte Carlo (1978-88), Buick Century (1978-81), Regal (1978-87), Olds Cutlass Supreme (1978-88), Pontiac Grand Prix (1978-87)
That would be the 700R4 transmission if it's still the FACTORY one.
no & yes, yes it will bolt up to your engine, but to make it function, you will have to add a transmission computer to your ride. GM sells these for the conversion. Unfortunately, like everything else from GM it is expensive. The 4L60E is an electronoic computer controled transmission where as a 700R4, also known as a 4L60 ,uses the computer only for converter clutch lock up in the 92 model cars. I asume your car is a 92.
There is a version of the 700R4 that mates to the 2.8 liter V6. Commonly found in GM/Chevy S Series Pick-ups/Blazers. The bellhouse pattern in different that the 4.3 and 2.5.
No, the 4T60E and the 700R4 are not the same. The 700R4 is a four-speed automatic transmission produced by General Motors from the early 1980s to the early 1990s, known for its versatility in various GM vehicles. In contrast, the 4T60E is a later four-speed automatic transmission that features electronic controls and is designed for front-wheel-drive applications, primarily used in the 1990s and early 2000s. While both are GM transmissions, they differ in design, application, and technology.
I have used the kit in the turbo 350 and the 700R4 GM transmissions with good results.
