If it won't crank, which is probably what you really have going on, it means your battery went bad while you were driving.
Try checking the battery cables. The positive wire might have come loose.
Your car lost power while you were driving and it will not start now because the battery is depleted.

More info will be needed to properly answer your question. There could be a multitude of reasons. Does your vehicle start at all? Does it stall while driving or idling?
Possible a bad or corroded ground cable .
The car will stop if the battery cable comes loose.
Eventually, yes, it will.
Your alternator is not keeping the battery charged.
Bad Alternator and have your battery checked for bad cells
