yes, because the alternator powers or charges your battery, if your alternator isn't working, your battery will not work, therefore your car will stop. If you feel your alternator dying while driving, the best thing to do is turn off all lights and the radio, anything that requires power from the battery. If your alt. isn't that bad off, it will get you to your next stop, however, after that, you won't be able to start your car w/o a jump. Hope this helps :)

A bad alternator. Turning the steering wheel all the way is very demanding on the power steering which draws power from the engine and can cause the idle to dip down. A weak alternator is usually the cause for the stalling.

Would an alternator cause a car to stall while driving?

Yes, a failing alternator can cause a car to stall while driving. The alternator is responsible for charging the battery and powering the electrical systems; if it fails, the battery can become depleted. As the electrical systems begin to falter, the engine may lose power, leading to a stall. Additionally, a weak alternator can cause issues with the ignition system, further contributing to stalling.
