probably not, cant guaranty anything though, could cause a loss in back pressure causing the valve to stay open too long, but unlikely
The year, engine size and if it is the intake manifold or an exhaust manifold gaskets would help.
asuming the vehicle has a 4 cylinder, the exhaust manifold would be facing the radiator. 6 cyl. would also have one facing the firewall. You can figure it out simply by tracing your exhaust system from back to front. tail pipe - muffler - exhaust pipe - catalytic converter - exhaust pipe - exhaust manifold - engine.
Usually oxygen sensors are what would be screwed into the exhaust manifold.Usually oxygen sensors are what would be screwed into the exhaust manifold.
Probably on the exhaust manifold before catalytic converter
The turbocharger turbine housing and exhaust manifold on any state of the art high horsepower (per litre of displacement) diesel engine will glow red as it approaches full load condition.
The engine will have one exhaust manifold attached to each "bank" of cylinders. In a v6 or v8, there would be an exhaust manifold on each side of the 'V'. With the transverse mounting of the front wheel drive, the manifolds are at the front and back of the engine. On a 4 cylinder, there's only 1 bank, so just one exhaust manifold. (NOTE: there hasn't been a 4 cylinder Taurus since 1986) On the front and back of the engine it will have three pipes coming out of the engine that turn into one pipe that goes all the way back to the muffler
Well I have the reverse, 454 manifolds on a 350, so I would think so.
It is located about in center of the engine compartment on the backside of the motor against the firewall...right above the exhaust manifold. That would be the upstream o2 sensor. The downstream o2 sensor is located somewhere on the exhaust just after the exhaust manifold...
On a Ford Explorer bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine and sensor 1 is in the exhaust ( either the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe ) before the catalytic converter ( upstream )
exhaust?
what is the cost of repair of Toyota 4runner exhaust manifold
if you would stand in front of the engine (in front of the timing belt),it should be on the left side of the engine block under the exhaust manifold
