It could.
I have never found that an incorrect spark plug gap can cause an almost start condition or a no start condition. It is far more likely that the plugs are fouled or, more commonly, when i find an almost start condition it usually means a bad (weak) ignition coil.
check motor mounts
put some gas in the sparkplug holes .......unscrew the spark plust and poor a tiney bit of gas into the hole and it should fire/almost start
Check that you have fire at the sparkplug...can do this by holding sparkplug wire with screwdrive placed into holder and held close to motor block or remove plug and lay on block with good ground. No amount of gas or starter fluid will ignite if you don't have spark...............
No power available.
Get a new sparkplug.
The motor would operate above its rated RPM. The motor would start to get hot as the current draw would be greater. This might eventually burn the insulation off of the windings and cause the motor to short circuit.
A leaking radiator hose would NOT cause this to happen, you have 2 problems with this vehicle.
Unless misalignment is extreme vehicle should start, but excessive wear is placed on starter (bearings)
the Bering is going out or something got in the housing
Dirty fuel filter.
Low oil pressure in itself will not cause the motor not start. Low oil pressure is a cause for concern as far as motor lubrication. Low oil pressure can cause lubrication failure and be harmful to all moving parts.
For any number of reasons, including: No gas in the gas tank, Fuel pump not working, Sparkplug gap or defective sparkplug wires, Defective distributor, Dead battery, Loose nut behind the steering wheel (grounding issue), Bad starter motor, Bad voltage regulator.
