Blown head gasket?
Take your thermostat out and put everything back together, run your car without a thermostat... If your car no longer overheats, replace your thermostat.
try a radiator cap......or you have a head gasket leak.
it can..rain has NOTHING to do with your radiator or the thermostat
possible radiator resrtiction
Could be the water pump is not working properly.
Waterpump, thermostat, radiator, radiator hoses.
Be sure the thermostat is not installed backwards.
Mine was caused by a blown head gasket. Could be a defective thermostat or a plugged radiator too. Would need more detail about when it overheats and how you know it is overheating to give a better answer.
Removing the thermostat can actually make an overheating problem worse. I would check the radiator fan.
Reasons Of Overheating # Insufficient coolant in system # Water pump defective # Radiator core blocked or grille restricted # Thermostat faulty # Electrical cooling fan inoperative or blade broken # Radiator cap not holding proper pressure
depending on how much it overheats.... you can blow a head gasket...warp your heads ... crack your radiator..
Yes, if the radiator is clogged and the engine overheats. The main cause of head gasket failure is the engine overheating.
