Might be the alternator not recharging the battery (at the back of alternator it has bushes like a fuse bit made by boshe the go in the alternator ) I'm not a mechanic give that a go or it's your celanoid or points in distrubeter if have one
Jump start car and do not run heater with engine not running.
Assuming that the vehicle that the jump leads were attached to is running OK I'd say that it's the battery that's dead.
My poolaris sportsman 600 was running, battery ligfht was flashing and when I turned it off it wouldn start again I put new battery in it yedterday, have powEr to lights and wench but won't start any answers?
Could be the battery is drained or bad. Could be battery connections at battery and or starter are dirty and or loose. Could be starter solenoid is bad. Could be starter is bad.
You either have a corroded or loose battery cable connection at the battery, a defective or drained battery, defective starter relay or starter.
check battery cable connection to see if loose.could also be a drain on battery, check to be sure all accessories were turned off overnight. Just a few days ago my caddy would not start. the battery checked out ok, but the alternator was bad. diodes were bad causing an "open loop" in electrical circuit which drained battery. To check alternator, first fullycharge battery, take to local parts store (autozone will check it for free)this can be done with alternator on running engine. Good luck!
Some symptoms of a car alternator failure include dim headlights, a drained battery, or the inability to start the vehicle. The alternator powers all aspects of the electrical system once the engine is running.
Sounds like a dead battery. You need the battery to start the car, but once it is running the engine runs completely off of the alternator (which also recharges the battery if the battery is still good).
You will be running off the battery power only. Once the battery is run down you be stuck, unable to start.
you could have left the battery disconnected. or maybe you drained the battery, you might have to recharge it
try checking the alternator try charging the battery with a car battery charger or getting a jump from a friend's car to get it to turn over
Sounds like the battery has a dead cell
