take the negative cable loose on your baterry and reset the light . see if it comes back on if yes you have another sensor gone bad more than likely oxygen sensor Auto Zone will connect a code reader to your car computer for FREE and read the trouble code that the CEL is indicating. After you have gotten the code(s) the Zone can print an explanation of what they found on receipt paper for you. Post back here and someone with knowledge of OBD-II trouble codes can help point you in the RIGHT direction.

How do you tell if a timing belt needs replacing in a 1991 infiniti m30?

you can only tell by mileage. The timing belt needs to be replaced every 60k miles. Failure to do so can be a disaster to the engine. While your mechanic does this have him replace the water pump and temperature senser as well as these fail frequently and are easy to do when your "in there". All fan belts should be replaced too of course, since your in there.

What causes engine light to come on for 2001 ford focus?

If you are speaking of the orange light with the outline of the engine - - It is associated with the engine emissions control system. It most commonly lights up when the gasoline filler cap has been left loose (or replaced with the wrong cap) - or the PCV valve needs replacing. After checking or replacing those two items - steady driving of about 1/2 hour or more should re-set the light. If not, you need to see a mechanic for other possible problems.

Who repairs head gaskets?

I was not aware that headgaskets were repairable. I have always replaced them with new gaskets. If you mean who replaces headgaskets, then that would be an engine mechanic.
