There may be more than one answer to this question, but the lyrics to "Jump" were part of a skit featuring Chris Farley back in the 90's. Farley was a slacker high school student in an English Literature class, and Phil Hartman played the clueless teacher. The students were given the assignment to write and recite a poem for the class, and each of them simply recited pop/rock song lyrics. Chris Farley recited lines from Van Halen's "Jump," and Hartman's character interpreted it as a suicidal cry for help (as in someone jumping off of a building.)
Chris Farley & Tim Meadows were both in a SNL skit in 1991 about the Brady Bill, the law which would require a 10 day waiting period for people wanting to purchase a hand gun. The skit also starred Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon, Chris Rock & the late Phil Hartman as skit narrator Charlton Heston. This was one of my favorite skits from SNL as Chris Farley's performance was hilariously over-exagerated, in his usual, classic way. I've been trying to find this skit on the internet but have had absolutely no luck thus far.
