generally this code refers to a failing cat. What i did as a temporary solution was let car bsit overnight . then remove throttle body hose and both connectors on the coils . I took a can a can of carb cleaner and sprayed 30 seconds in throttle body as a friend turned car over. waited 10 minutes and did same with seafoam. waited 20 minutes reconnected hoses and coil connectors reset monitors and start. Let idle till warm and test drive.. repeated above process an second time . Ran drive cycle and all is fine . hope this works for you also !!!
Which sensors....theres a lot of them
the door sensors are part of the door latchinside the door
All O2 sensors are threaded into the exhaust system at various points.
If the oxygen sensors for the 1991 Chevy 4.3 is running rich when it is warmed up it is best to have the sensors replaced. Once the sensors are replaced this should resolve the issue.
Ford usually has sensors inside the door on top of latch
I had a similar problem in my 96 continental to make a long story short one of my door ajar sensors was bad when driving cluster would read door ajar replaced sensor for about 125.00 and havent had a problem sense
Four, two before the cats (upstream) and two after the cats (downstream).
IAT= intake are temperature sensor ECT= engine coolant temp. sensor
The likely reason why the alarm in a 1999 Lincoln Continental goes off on hot days is because warm air flow triggers the sensors. You can deactivate the alarm by unlocking the car.
on all of the fords that I have owned they have been screwed into the exhudt manifold just before it goes into the converter
AnswerTry replacing fuel filterOxygen sensors may need replacement. As a part of the emission control system, they are designed to be replaced about every 100,000 miles (under normal circumstances).
No it is not possible. All vehicles in U.S.A. 95 and newer are required to have On Board Diagnostics generation II which is the monitoring system for the emissions on your car, which includes Oxygen (O2) sensors as well as a host of other engine controls and sensors.
