Yes, just be careful the filament can break. Use electrical contact cleaner, not blasted directly on it but from a bit of a distance.

That is a NO NO. You should never clean the mass air flow sensor it will mess it up.
Purchase a can of mass air flow cleaner and follow the directions on the can. Don't try to clean it with anything else!
