I have found that this problem is caused by a faulty door jam sensor. Usually the sliding door sensor is the problem. All you have to do if it is the sliding door is replace the sensor or simply try to clean it off. Find and remove or disconnect the chime relay.

I have the same issue. I can't find a switch on the door anywhere. Were you able to figure anything out? I'm wondering if the switch isn't in the latch. My bell doesn't ring, but the light on the rear door stays on and drains the battery all the same.
