Freon is an invisible gas and cannot be seen in the air. If Freon in leaking from a container in large enough amounts and is cold enough, you may notice the condensation of moisture due to the low temperature.
its water. you wouldn't see "freon" r-22 dripping from it. it would boil off before youd ever be able to see it.
Check to see if the ac compressor is running. If it is not, use a gauge to check the Freon levels, as low Freon is the most common cause of no cold air blowing.
Look to see if the compressor is running when the ac is on. If not, then check the Freon pressure, as the compressor won't run if the Freon is low.
The Freon probably needs to be recharged. Any repair shop should be able to do this. They should also test the system for leaks to see why the Freon leaked out to begin with.
freon is just a brand name

NO
Whenever the freon filled system is opened air gets in and to remove it you attach a vacuum pump and empty the entire system before adding replacement freon. HOWEVER, if you have already added freon and do not have access to a vacuum pump, just bleed out the air and freon at any convenient point, the freon will push out the air leaving only freon vapor, then recharge with new freon and you will be air lock less!
