Unfortunately, Phoenix has grown so much over the past 5 decades that many people feel it now has more drawbacks than advantages. Some of Phoenix's serious drawbacks are air pollution, terrible schools, very scant job market, decline of the housing market, illegal Immigration and growing traffic issues. Phoenix used to be among America's best cities to live but the rapid population growth has now made it one of the worst, according to the Places Rated Almanac of 2008.
