NO not on that engine. There's no groove for a o-ring to fit on. MUST use the flat paper gasket only.
There is a rubber O-ring seal on the distributor shaft. You will need to pull that shaft and replace the O-ring. Fairly easy job. The O-ring will cost you about $1 if you can do the work yourself.
Usually the O-ring gasket for the Distributor leaks on these engines..look at the base of the distributor.. it usually trickles from there. the fix is pretty easy. it is one o-ring gasket that can be replaced by pulling the distributor. Oil pump driveshaft (also referred to as distributor) o-ring is bad. Replace, and oil will stop leaking there.
If you are talking about the O-Ring that comes in a head gasket set its probably for the distributor if the vehicle has one and and usually goes on the shaft housing just under where it seats on the intake manifold. These are about 1" to 1.5" diameter.
Check valve cover gasket.Or distributor o ring or gasket which ever it may has.
gasket or o-ring. always need one or the other
No, the O-Ring is the only one.
NO you do not. That is what the o-ring is for. If you use sealer it will wind up in the oil and that is Not good.
It is between the upper and lower intake manifold. The gasket is an o-ring type.
yes there is an "O" ring that forms a gasket under the distributer
If your sure that it is leaking around the distributor then replace the distributor gasket or O-ring. It could also be leaking oil out of the back of the intake manifold. Gasket or sealer may have moved while tighting the intake bolts. Could be coming from the oil sending unit behind the distributor too.
A 92 doesnt have a distributor just coil packs
