According to what I have been taught (by Chrysler) the use of DEF improves fuel economy over a truck that has a particulate filter without the use of DEF.
No, it is not recommended to use any other fluid in the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system besides DEF. Using any other fluid can cause damage to the system and affect the performance of the vehicle. DEF is specifically designed to work with the system and meet emission standards.
Yes it is bad for your organ system and cause you to go def
To remove the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) from a 2012 Ford F-350 fuel tank, first ensure the vehicle is turned off and is in a safe location. Locate the DEF tank, which is typically separate from the fuel tank, and use a siphon pump or a similar device to extract the fluid. Be cautious to avoid spilling any DEF, as it can be corrosive. After removal, properly dispose of the DEF according to local regulations.
Putting DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) in a gasoline tank can cause significant damage to the engine and fuel system. DEF is designed for diesel engines to reduce emissions and is composed of urea and deionized water, which can lead to corrosion and clogging in gasoline engines. If DEF is mistakenly added, it is crucial to avoid starting the vehicle and have the tank drained and cleaned to prevent costly repairs.
Fuel TV is on 111. It's only standard def, though.
I would have the cooling system flushed and coolant replaced. DEF is very caustic.
You have to change all injectors,HP fuel pump, all lines/hoses and HP rail. remove fuel tank(s) and steam out, replace filters .. dealer poured DEF into my diesel tank and truck wont run ... wont build fuel pressure. Happy $20,000 bill ..... :(
for HI? if it is, this is def. the answere
They use the Cummins aftertreatment system with the DPF, DEF doser, and SCR on their vehicles equipped with Cummins engines. After the failure of the MaxxForce aftertreatment system to meet EPA and CARB requirements, they've gone to a full aftertreatment system with DEF and an SCR for the MaxxForce engines, as well.
One gallon of diesel fuel typically weighs around 7.1 to 7.2 pounds, depending on the specific formulation and temperature. Therefore, 1 gallon of diesel fuel (DEF) generally weighs about the same, around 7.1 pounds. However, it's important to check the specific density of the DEF being used, as it can vary slightly based on its composition.
