Assuming you mean the 4 banger rear seal you must remove the engine from the vehicle to replace the entire seal. On very, very rare occasions replacing the rope seal on the rear of the pan by dropping the oil pan has been helped some oil leaks. But in most cases it requires pulling the engine and removing crank to do a complete seal upper and lower replacement.
