A reverse cycle air conditioner work like normal air conditioners only in reverse, transferring heat into a house instead of outside of one. It is not an air conditioner at all, but a heater.
The air conditioner or heater continually runs.
The heater may come on instead of the air conditioner due to the thermostat settings, which could be set to heat rather than cool. Additionally, if the ambient temperature falls below the set point for heating, the system will prioritize heating to maintain comfort. A malfunction or a faulty thermostat could also cause the system to inadvertently activate the heater instead of the air conditioner. Lastly, if the system is a heat pump, it may be using heating mode under certain conditions.
It's obvious that you have problems with wiring. I would start from the heater/AC control panel.
the answer is air conditioner
Yes. Cold air generally comes out one end while hot air comes out the other. If you don't vent it, you could actually end up with a heater!
