Remove the retaining ring at the top of your 1993 Chevrolet K 2500 ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.

never mind found out on 1993 models you have to take the whole column out and sterring wheel off to get at it thanks anyways

youve got to remove the steering wheel, take the locking mecanism off, then the mecanism for the signal lights off....whitch should only have a few screws.....then where the ignition switch is.....you should see a screw that looks like it goes through the switch..remove that then give the ignition switch a tug or two and it should come out
you will need security type star screw drivers , remove three screws from bottom of column cover,remove three screws from ignition switch.Replace with new switch.
