To unlock the hood of a Mitsubishi L200, first, locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle, typically found on the driver's side near the footwell. Pull the lever to release the hood latch. Then, go to the front of the vehicle, slide your hand under the center of the hood to find the secondary latch, and lift it to fully open the hood. Always ensure the hood is securely propped open before working underneath it.
It should lock and unlock with the power door locks. If it is stuck in the locked position, there is a lever in the trunk on the driver's side behind the carpet that will unlock it.
Behind the passenger seat there is a trunk release lever. Pull it straight out to unlock the trunk. (This is for a roadster)
My 1998 Lexus LS400 has a small lever to pull that releases the trunk. Have a helper pull the release handle while you look at the release mechanism. This will tell you if the cable is broken or if the problem is in the trunk mechanism.
