there are 2 wires on the replacement fuel sender for my Kubota RTV. where do I hook the 2 wires?
I suspect that the sender is bad or the wiring to it. The fuel sender is mounted along side the fuel pump which is located in the fuel tank. If your pump was just replaced maybe the sender was damaged in the process. It may just have gone bad also.
To fix the fuel gauge on a 1992 Caprice, start by checking the fuel sender unit located in the fuel tank for proper function and connections. Inspect the wiring and connectors for any damage or corrosion, and ensure the ground connection is secure. If the sender is faulty, it may need to be replaced. Additionally, check the instrument cluster for any issues; sometimes, the gauge itself could be the problem.
The sender is in the fuel tank and requires you to drop the tank as that is the only way to get to the hose and wires.
To fix the fuel gauge on a Peugeot 307 HDi, start by checking the fuel level sender unit, which is located in the fuel tank. Ensure that the wiring and connections are secure and free of corrosion. If the sender unit is faulty, it may need to be replaced. Additionally, inspect the instrument cluster for any issues, as a malfunction there can also affect the gauge reading. If necessary, consult a professional mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.
To fix the gas gauge in a 1999 Oldsmobile, first check the fuel sender unit located in the fuel tank, as it may be faulty or have a poor connection. Inspect the wiring and connectors for any damage or corrosion. If necessary, replace the fuel sender unit or the entire fuel pump assembly. If the issue persists, the problem may lie with the gauge itself or the vehicle's instrument cluster, which may require professional diagnosis.
To fix a fuel gauge stuck on full in a 1993 Ford F-150, first check the fuel level sender in the fuel tank; it may be faulty or have a stuck float. Inspect the wiring and connections to ensure there are no shorts or corrosion affecting the gauge. If the sender is working properly, the issue might be with the gauge itself or the voltage regulator. Replacing the faulty component should resolve the issue.
If it's like my 88, then the problems probably in the sender ... and that's inside the fuel tank.
To fix the fuel gauge in a Geo Prism, first check the fuse related to the fuel gauge system, as a blown fuse can cause the gauge to malfunction. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiring and connections at the fuel tank sender unit for any damage or corrosion. If everything appears intact, the issue may lie with the fuel sender unit itself, which may need to be replaced. Finally, after repairs, recalibrate the gauge if necessary to ensure accurate readings.
Well, the fuel pump, as well as the fuel sender unit, are inside the fuel tank. It's possible that the sender was damaged when the pump was replaced. It's also possible that one of the wires was not connected properly, or has come loose. If you had this work done at a shop, take the car back and make them fix it.
I would start by suspecting that the vehicle has a bad fuel level sender the only ggod way to tell is to plug the scan tool from the dealer on to the vehicle. They have test were they can Sweep the gages if it works there then the fuel level sender is most likely bad or wiring, but most likely the level sender.
dodge is known for fuel pick up issues. the fuel sender unit has low voltage. change that and fuel filter. nnot an easy fix . because both are in fuel tank.
