for Connecticut registered cars apply at the registry ,bring previous registration. for unregistered cars bring a bill of sale and the old title.

never buy a car without a title and make sure it says there are no leins against it.

some states allow a registration from a previous registration-----this is dangerous ---ct. does not allow it-----they want the old title---period.

save your self a lot of heart ache--always buy when given a title /no leins listed----and good identification ,like photo i.d.--mark down the numbers or make a copy.

Car Titles can be obtained by using a Notary Acceptor to produce and Maintain a good administrative record to your right to title. Notary Acceptors are Officers of the Court and by using a Notary Acceptor you are producing Court Admissible evidence to your claim to the Certificate of Title.
