This one is pretty easy. Press the button in the envoy that you want to program as your garage door opener until it starts blinking rapidly then press you original garage door opener while you are still pressing the program button. Hold like this for a couple of seconds and the button in the envoy should be ready to go
look in your owner's manual i did not get one with the van
Go to http://www.wjjeeps.com/homelink.htm
check to make sure it doesn't use watch batteries
First make sure the garage door opener is newer than a 1982 model. Press open on the garage door and press the control panel on the Avalon as well. After several seconds a light will indicate that the control is now synced to the car.
To program the visor garage door opener (HomeLink) on a 2003 Nissan Altima, start by turning the ignition to the "ON" position. The engine doesn’t need to be running, but the key must be on. If you’re programming it for the first time or want to clear old settings, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons on the visor until the indicator light flashes rapidly—this takes about 20 seconds. Release the buttons once the light blinks fast. Next, hold your garage door remote 1 to 3 inches from the HomeLink panel. Simultaneously press and hold both the remote button and the HomeLink button you want to program. Continue holding until the HomeLink indicator light switches from a slow blink to a rapid blink, which may take up to 30 seconds. Once it does, release both buttons. This programs the HomeLink button. If your garage door opener uses a rolling code system (most do if made after 1996), you’ll need to complete one more step. Go to the garage door opener motor (mounted in the garage) and press the “Learn” or “Smart” button on it. You now have 30 seconds to return to your vehicle. Press the newly programmed HomeLink button up to three times, holding it for a few seconds each time, until the door responds. Once your garage door opens or closes using the HomeLink button, the programming is complete.
Hold down the left and right buttons at the same time to clear any existing codes. Make sure the battery in your garage door opener is good, then hold down the button in the Sequoia you want to program. After the 'homelink' house symbol starts to blink, hold down the button on your opener - held about 12-14" away from the headliner console. Once the house icon stops blinking, it should work. If not, repeat the process again. If it still doesn't work, try to put a new battery in the handheld opener and try again. Read your manual - the process is spelled out if you need help. Good luck
