it depends if the fuel pump is on the motor or in the gas tank if it is on the motor you would have to take the to bolts off the make sure the gastit is all off take hoses off a metal are will come out the motor that is what pumps the fuel make sure the arm is in the same place when you replace it goes on in a certain place when you put back on put gaskiet on and replace bolts hook up hoses and your ready to go if it is in the gas tank you will have to drop the gas tank pull off the metal ring that holds the gas tanks lines in place and it will pull out of the gas tank and the fuel pump will be in there do it the same way you see it and it will work
no
inside the gas tank
Need to check Fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse. Also need to check fuel pump pressure. Is there fuel in the tank, Gauge may be lieing to you.
could be faulty fuel pump. located on front of motor. Or on worse side Cam may be bad. I had an 85 350 and similar problem. Mine was a weak fuel pump.
I believe the pressure will be too great for the carburator.
Can you put a 1990's 350 motor in a 1979 elcamino if you changed it to carberation, but would there be a fuel pump issue as to the newer motor ,not having a manual fuel pump
take the fuel tank out of the vehicle. the pump is inside of the tank.
It has a electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank. YOU MUST REMOVE the tank to get to it.
in the fuel tank
No
Remove the hoses from your 1978 Chevrolet 350 cubic inch engine fuel pump. Remove the fuel pump belt. Remove the fuel pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new fuel pump.
No it will not. Now it will bolt right in there but the transmission will not work and the fuel pump in the fuel tank has to much fuel pressure for a carburetor
