The heater core is typically located on the interior side of the firewall. Look for two hoses that run to half inch tubing on the engine side of the firewall, most likely on the passenger side approximately 3 to 4 inches apart. You can pull the hose clamps and hoses and it will no longer be connected. Make sure the coolant is drained first of course. Once you have disconnected the hoses you can trace them both back to their starting points and then completely remove one hose and the reconnect the other to by pass the heater core altogether.
