Yes you can you will need to get the non-turbo engine, non-t ECU and wire harness. The wire harness and ecu are diffrent between the t and the non t.
Get a vtec ecu, depending on which engine you have. (P28, P08, etc) then go to www.rywire.com and get the appropriate harness.
To connect a wire harness to a P28 ECU, you need to match the corresponding wires from the harness to the correct pins on the ECU connector. Use a wiring diagram to ensure proper connections based on the signals you need to send and receive. It's crucial to double-check your connections to avoid damaging the ECU or other components.
It's really pretty easy. Just follow the engine wiring harness to the ecu. Most are located on the firewall but some are accessed from inside under the dash. On Ford products it is in small compartment so you will be looking at the front of it where the wire bundle hooks up. You will also see either two or four small bolts holding the face to the vehicle. Once you remove the wire harness and those bolts it just slides out. Good luck.
yes it will, i had the same issue with my car. but the answer is yes
Remove upper door trim panel using tool J38778 to pry out the retainer at the top. Lift the upper door trim panel in order to remove. Disconnect the wire harness from the tweeter. Remove the insulator (triangle shaped piece) Remove the door trim panel to gain access to the power mirror wire harness Disconnect wire harness electrical connector Disconnect wire harness from retainer clips Remove wire harness fasteners Remove mirror from door Pull wire harness through hole in the door Source Service Manual 2002 Buick Page 8-977
Under the hood, drivers side, beside the brake boost canister, you will notice the wiring harness going into the firewall (kind of behind the oil fill tube). Remove the wiring harness by loosening the one large bolt. This harness is bolted to the ECU. Once the harness is out of the way, you remove the two captive screws which hold the plastic flange on the firewall, which holds the ECU in place. The whole thing slides forward into the engine compartment, it's mounted upright.
The wiring harness is a bunch of wires together running from the ecu and tcu to all of the components under the hood. If you need to remove the harness, I warn you, its a pain in the butt. If you are going to remove it, you can email me and I will be glad to go through step by step instructions.
To remove the ECU from a Peugeot 206 located under the fuse box, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Then, carefully remove the fuse box cover and any securing clips or bolts to access the ECU. Disconnect the wiring harness and any connectors attached to the ECU, and finally, remove any screws or bolts holding the ECU in place before gently extracting it from its location. Make sure to handle the ECU with care to avoid damage.
Not without electrical work. The 1997+ Preludes have OBD2 wire harness while the 92-96 Have OBD1. Different wire harness/sensors/ecu.
yes. one of two things causes this. either the ecu shorted out and is on fire inside. or oil from a sensor connected to the engine leaked into the wire harness and then into the ecu (actually happens ALOT) -mechanic 7+ years
Ummm in short you cant...its ecu computer controlled.....You can however remove your vss....vehicle speed sensor...but then your speedometer wont work..... Some use mechanical/electromechanical sensors....If you locate the vss look for a wire harness...if you find it hook up a toggle switch to deactivate the vss
