To remove a wire harness from an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), first ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts. Locate the locking mechanism or clip securing the harness to the ECU and gently release it; this may require pressing a tab or lifting a lever. Once the lock is disengaged, carefully pull the harness straight out from the ECU, avoiding any twisting or bending that could damage the pins. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions related to your model.
Yes you can you will need to get the non-turbo engine, non-t ECU and wire harness. The wire harness and ecu are diffrent between the t and the non t.
Get a vtec ecu, depending on which engine you have. (P28, P08, etc) then go to www.rywire.com and get the appropriate harness.
To connect a wire harness to a P28 ECU, you need to match the corresponding wires from the harness to the correct pins on the ECU connector. Use a wiring diagram to ensure proper connections based on the signals you need to send and receive. It's crucial to double-check your connections to avoid damaging the ECU or other components.
It's really pretty easy. Just follow the engine wiring harness to the ecu. Most are located on the firewall but some are accessed from inside under the dash. On Ford products it is in small compartment so you will be looking at the front of it where the wire bundle hooks up. You will also see either two or four small bolts holding the face to the vehicle. Once you remove the wire harness and those bolts it just slides out. Good luck.
yes it will, i had the same issue with my car. but the answer is yes

Under the hood, drivers side, beside the brake boost canister, you will notice the wiring harness going into the firewall (kind of behind the oil fill tube). Remove the wiring harness by loosening the one large bolt. This harness is bolted to the ECU. Once the harness is out of the way, you remove the two captive screws which hold the plastic flange on the firewall, which holds the ECU in place. The whole thing slides forward into the engine compartment, it's mounted upright.
To remove the ECU from a 1999 Ford Fiesta, first, ensure the ignition is off and disconnect the car battery to prevent any electrical short. Locate the ECU, which is typically positioned behind the dashboard or near the driver's side. Disconnect the wiring harness and any mounting screws or bolts securing the ECU in place.
