Hi, I just had the LF window regulator replaced in my '93 Topaz. Had to get the regulator from an auto junkyard because the car is 17 yrs. old--cost me $40.00 for the all metal regulator and a local body shop friend did the work for about $50.00. Works like new--good luck

To install a passenger window on a 1993 GMC Sierra, first, remove the door panel by unscrewing the fasteners and carefully prying it off. Next, detach the old window by removing the window regulator and any clips or bolts that hold it in place. Insert the new window into the regulator and secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Finally, reattach the door panel and test the window to ensure it operates smoothly.

Disconnect the battery, Remove the door panel, vapor barrier plastic, power window connections, and I would remove the entire regulator assembly with motor attached. It helps to have someone hold the window as it drops inside of the door. Some motors are riveted to the regulator at the factory, so if it is I would obtain a good used assembly at a salvage yard. I have done these in a couple hours. Looks harder then it is.

On a 1993 Cadillac STS, the voltage regulator is integrated into the alternator rather than being a separate component. This means that the generator (alternator) and the voltage regulator work together as a single unit. If you're having issues with the voltage regulator, you would typically need to replace the entire alternator assembly.
