On V8 LT1 engine, remove air intake tube from throttle body to expose thermostat housing, thermostat housing is right the air intake tube where it connects to the engine, should see large rubber hose coming from radiator, remove this from the engine, the part you remove this from is the thermostat housing, should have 2 bolts to take out, takes 8mm socket, pull off and thermostat will probably be stuck to it, pry off and install new one, careful to not overtighten bolts or housing could crack.
