If the boot is torn, then more than likely the CV joint needs replacing. It at the very least needs to be inspected. You can replace the boot with a repair kit, but I would have the joint inspected.

You can buy a CV joint boot kit and install it fairly easily if you can find a boot that bolts together in the center. Just cit the old boot off, put the new boot on , install the grease, bolt up the sides, and put on the hose clamp.
In order to replace a Renault Megane Scenic drive shaft gaiter, a boot kit can be purchased. There are different ways to define what a boot kit is in a car. A boot kit can be a set of boots or rubber cups that cover joints in the axles of a car. A boot kit can also be an emergency kit that has survival gear in case of extreme weather and breakdown. A boot kit might also be a type of lock put on a wheel of a car so the car cannot be moved. This is done by local police if tickets accumulate on the vehicle and are not paid.
There are two ways. There are now aftermarket CV boots that are split in the middle, eliminating the need to remove the axle. Simply pull the spindle away from the end of the axle and slice off the old boot. The new boot comes with fasteners to put it on. The other way is to remove the axle and tap off the end of the CV joint. Then I would clean out the old grease and repack it with new grease (should come with grease in the CV boot kit).

You can and you will need a caliper rebuild kit. It is a lot easier to just replace the whole caliper though. I usually do. Takes lots less time and you dont have to worry about something not assembled right. Good luck.

You can get a kit that has the boot that is open and has new greese that has screws and nuts to put it together. All you do is clean out the old shaft bearing and install the greese and then install the boot. Also Mighty has a kit that if you have the axle removed, you clean out the bearing and install the greese and stretch the boot over the carrior. This works better but takes more time.
