To replace the ECM (Engine Control Module) on a 1993 Chevy Cavalier, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Locate the ECM, typically found under the dashboard or near the passenger side firewall, and remove any mounting screws or brackets. Disconnect the wiring harness and any connectors attached to the ECM, then remove the old module. Install the new ECM by reversing the steps: connect the wiring harness, secure it with screws, and reconnect the battery. Finally, ensure the vehicle is running properly and check for any diagnostic trouble codes.

Yes
replace the ecm
Pull your glove box. Located on right. Disconnect 2 wiring harness's then unit will slide out with a little "wiggling". New ecm will need you to pull the prim , rubber stops and clips from your old ecm and replace on new ecm. Most parts stores will let you use tools at the counter to replace right there.
you can't fix an ecm, you have to replace it.
