Depends on the size of the fuel tank and where the empty light sensor is in the fuel tank. On my Astra 1.7tdi it warns you at about 4l left so approx 37miles assuming it does 43mpg. On my BMW 520d, it warns you at about 1/8 of a tank so approx. 7.5l which should take me roughly 56miles doing 34mpg (city driving) OR 85.8miles doing 52mpg (motorway/highway) Hope that helps!
Check transmission fluid, if it is ok, transmission is probably slipping.
It depends on the weight, fuel consumption and general dynamics of the car
I have actually done this on purpose from the Time that the gas light came on to when I ran out if gas was approximately 30 miles
Your car alarm light go off, if someone tries to siphon gas out of the gas tank, depending upon the type of car alarm you have. Some car alarms go off whenever the car is touched.
Just far enough to get you into a bad situation
As far as you want until you run out of gas or get stopped for speeding.
Yes, it does. It comes on when you're low on gas. Don't go too far when after your light comes on or you could be in trouble.
You can easily go 40 miles.
About one gallon. The warning light for low gas is not just being helpful to not run out of gas. It is to protect the catalytic converter. When the engine runs out of gas it will misfire and raw gas will go into the converter. when the engine fires again the raw gas in the converter will burn and overheat the converter and ruin it. never let the car run out of gas.
If you get 30 mpg, you can go 480 miles If you get 20 mpg, you can go 320 miles.
The amount of miles one can go with the gas light on will vary depending on the car. Some cars may have a reserve of three miles worth of gas. Others may only have one mile worth of gas.
It depends what kind of car you have. It could take anywhere from 10-less than one gallon of gas to go that far depending on the car's gas mileage.
