Neptune is around 4.7 billion kilometres from Earth. In a car driving at at average speed, it would take you 5137 years to "drive" to Neptune. If you're planning on driving, you'd better pack a lot of Sandwiches!

It will take about 17 to 20 years for a fast space shuttle to reach Neptune, assuming the shuttle can maintain enough fuel for the journey as well as enough food, water and oxygen for the astronauts.

So far, our space shuttles are only designed for earth or moon orbit. The current space shuttles of this day and age will not survive the journey beyond our own orbit. Only automatic probes have been sent further than our own orbit successfully.
