There is no set answer unless you can see where the original clips were located. Ideally the clips are used to keep vibration to a minimum thereby reducing the possibility of wearing through each other and/or frame, etc. I have seen them as close at 24 inches and as far as 36 inches apart. I would start at back or front at 24" spans and when your done, wiggle / tap / shake lines and make sure they don't hit each other or come in contact with frame, suspension, etc. In addition, older models used steel clips that would contribute to corrosion, newer plastic clips can be purchased to eliminate this possibility.

To replace the brake lines on a 1966 Plymouth Fury, first, safely lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the old brake lines by loosening the fittings at both ends and carefully detaching them from the brake components. How do you remove rear brake drums on 1966 dodge coronet?

pull the rear wheels off and look on the rear drum there might be 2 clips over the wheel studs, if the clips are there cut them off as they are not needed, if there are no clips don't worry about it. On the backside of the drum you will see 2 rubber grommets, pull them out and get a flashlight and look inside the holes and you will see a star wheel gear and a locking bar that rests on the teeth of the gear, you need to push in on the locking bar and then turn the gear downward as that backs off the brake pads from the drum, just turn wheel downward enough to loosen the drum enough to pull it off.
