sounds like the fuel sensor inthe fuel tank which means removing tank to replace
The sending unit and the fuel pump are all one module in the gas tank.
you will need to replace the fuel sensor and it is all in one with the fuel pump its in the gas tank.
According to Autozone's website, it is under the vehicle, ahead of the fuel tank attached to the chassis. On my 2001 it is located under the vehicle on the driver's side approximately half-way back.
The 2004 Pontiac Montana Ext Minivan holds 25 gallons of fuel in the fuel tank.
my 2000 Montana is still on its original fuel pump
Not exactly sure what you're asking for here, but if you mean a fuel pump reset switch, as on a Ford, these vehicles are not equipped with it.
on the undercarriage...
Pontiac does not use inertia/reset switches.
In the fuel tank
my fuel pump is not work
To drain the gas from a 2001 Pontiac Montana, first ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off. Locate the fuel line under the vehicle or near the fuel tank, and use a fuel line disconnect tool to detach it. You can then use a siphon pump or a fuel transfer pump to extract the gasoline from the tank. Always take precautions to avoid spills and work in a well-ventilated area due to the flammability of gasoline.
