The lifespan of an engine varies significantly based on factors like make, model, maintenance, and driving conditions. Generally, many modern engines can last between 150,000 to 300,000 miles with proper care. However, signs of wear, such as unusual noises or decreased performance, may indicate the need for replacement or major repairs before reaching those mileage milestones. Regular maintenance is key to extending engine life.
because ther skine
I have a friend with 170,000 miles and he still drives it daily, I have another friend replacing his engine at 50,000 miles.
There is no maintenance schedule for replacing a timing chain. Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine and are normally replaced during a complete engine rebuild.
a million miles
60k, 80k or 100k, depending on the engine type. Vauxhall have more than one 1.7 diesel engine. Phone a dealer, have the registration and chassis number to hand, and ask.
At least 200,000 miles.
3900
I have 250,000 and still running.
i heard only till 90,000 to 110,000 miles at the most
They can last a long time but they can also break without warning. The owners manual shuld say how long before replacing. I would guess at least 50,000 miles or so between replacing it.
According to the Gates website ( 120,000 miles )
It should be a timing belt and i believe Audi recommends every 105,000 miles, but... Replace it at 90,000 or sooner i have seen them fail well before 105,000
