At the beginning of the week I started to feel another cold coming on. Or was it Allergies? The good news is it's not getting worse and I was able to run 3 miles this morning without feeling tired. However, I skipped the group run from Hanlon's shoe store last night. That run can be pretty tough with the hills. Plus I always run it at a harder pace. Tomorrow I'm planning another 3 miles in the morning and a 7-8 miler on Saturday. Since I ran 21.5 miles last week and 24.5 the week prior, I want to get in at least 15-20 miles this week since I'm flying to Naples, Florida, on Sunday with my sister Sheila. I'm so excited! I went down to Fla. with her last year and had a blast. Since we don't get to see each other much (she lives 90 miles away), it's a great opportunity to spend time together.
I probably won't run as many miles in Florida since the main roads are too busy - plus it's pretty hot down there right now. But there is a two-mile loop in the condo complex I can run, and we'll also do a lot of walking. On Monday we have tickets to a Red Sox game at the new stadium in Fort Myers. I can't wait to see their new digs. We also plan to visit a bird sanctuary, go to the beach, eat out, shopping, etc.
