To adjust the handbrake on a 2003 Skoda Octavia, first, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the wheels are chocked for safety. Locate the handbrake adjustment nut under the center console, which can be accessed by removing the cover. Tighten or loosen the nut to achieve the desired tension; typically, the handbrake should engage after 3-5 clicks. Finally, test the handbrake to ensure it holds the vehicle securely when applied.
