For every 1 turn of the crankshaft will make the camshaft turn twice. So the distributor will turn around one time for every 1 turn of the crankshaft.
what is the piston displacement of a compressor with 2" bore and 3" strokes
Compression/Exhaust.
That would be a neat trick. The piston will not fit into the distributor cap. Remove intake and left side head (bank 1) the #1 piston is closest to front.
Cycle means the number of piston strokes for a complete cycle. 2 stroke= 2 cycle.
Two strokes have two cycles the piston go through intake/compression and ignition/exhaust where four strokes have four separate piston cycles intake compression ignition and exhaust.
Intake, Compression, Power and Exhaust
The spark plug will fire once every four strokes, at the end of the compression stroke.
It will make it imossible to start. 2-strokes depends on a tight seal between over- and underside of the piston. A cracked piston will also disintegrate on high revs.
The difference is in the amount of stokes the piston makes in one cycle. A four stroke will explode on one stroke turning the engine over. Then on the up stroke it pushes the exhaust out. The next down stroke fills the cylinder with fuel. On the final stroke the piston compresses the fuel and the cycle repeats. This results in four strokes of the piston. A two stroke has two strokes of the piston before it repeats the cycle. The first stroke is the explosion. The piston is pushed down. on the down stroke the piston reveals a port that exhausts, and then another port is revealed that fills the cylinder with fuel. the up stroke compresses the fuel and then the cycle repeats. The logical difference is the 2 stroke will accelerate faster
piston falls =vacuum = draw in fuel/air through intake valve piston rises compressing fuel / air mix, ignited at top, heat and pressure rise piston falls driven by pressure over piston area creating force, turning crank piston rises driving out exhaust gases through exhaust valve More commonly known as. Induction. Compression. Power Exhaust strokes. The humorous way to remember Suck Squeeze Bang Blow.
You need to turn the motor so the first piston is at top of the cylinder to remove the distributor.
Bring #1 piston to its uppermost point and observe position of distributor--it should be firing on no. 1
