In America these cars are very expensive ´cause they are kept as classic cars or collectibles. Here´s a link for you to see for your self all kinds of Vw Bugs and convertibles. www.oldbug.com/sales.htm they go from $ 6000 (fair) to $20,000 or even $55, 000 dlls. But in my country they are common to be used as cabs, well not the convertibles but the regular ones. And a convertible can be found to cost as low as $ 2,000dlls or as high as $ 8000dlls
