From 1982 - 1990 all of them came with 4bbl carbs rated at best a pitiful 140 hp and 255 lbs of torque - These engines are externally identical to an Olds 350 and are easily and commonly swapped out for the pre 1974 Olds 350 with the higher nickel content and the better heads which are rated at around 180 hp - 200 hp, stay away from 1977 and later engines.
Oldsmobile used 307s in those days, not 305s - the 307 had 140 hp
the 307 only had 140hp, only the 442 with the "9" code 307 had 180.
yes
they stock 307 engine code "9" had 170 hp for 1987
My 1986 cutlass supreme w/307 was smoking bad, and I tore the motor down and the rings were shot.
307 hp.
150-180 area
You can put Oldsmobile 350 heads on an Oldsmobile 307, if the 307 is 1984 or older. It will take some work but it can be done, I know for a fact that it can, because my 307 has 350 heads on it. It runs great. I'm not sure about the cam though.
The A/T have about 287hp, and the M/T have about 307.

Some do. What year?
The 307's were rated right around 200 horsepower (SAE Gross) with a 2bbl and single exhaust.
