Dependig on the year, make and model, the mechanical fuel pump is located on the lower right side of the engine (passenger side) next to the timing cover. It normally has two bolts mounting it, and two lines. Electric pumps are located in the fuel tank. Some units have removable pump, others will have to be replaced with sending unit. Before you condemn the pump, check your fuses and relays. Normally the horn and abs relay are interchangable. If they are ok, check that you have ground and key on power at the fuel pump. This may be a two man job unless you have the right tools, because the fp signal only primes for a few seconds with key on. Chevys are known for having poor connectors at the fuel pump. If that's the issue, replace the electrical connector about 8-10 ins from the plug. good luck, i hope this helps you...jm.
