If your comparing with the same type of car..then no, automatics are known to use more fuel
If an automatic car is in off overdrive does it save fuel
In such a gearbox it simply means 'Drive'. Automatic gearboxes are less efficient, fuel wise, than manual gearboxes. They were introduced as a measure for people with less mechanical knowledge and skill to be able to 'drive'.
It is asking if they are economical on fuel.
not the best but one of the top economical cars around.
Provided you could start the car, there is no reason whty you couldn't as they function almost as an automatic does.
Any 4 cylinder vehicle is economical to run. Toyota has an excellent reputation for fuel economy and reliability. In the long run, its not the vehicle to uses up the fuel its the driver.. Any vehicle will use alot of fuel if you drive it hard. Modern v8 engines use much less fuel if you drive sensibly. This not only saves fuel but tires, oil, co2 emmisions...etc. In short there is no cheapest car to run, they cost money just sitting there. Just remember to drive sensibly.
Yes, well I can do it on my car
DRIVE!
I am not sure that you are asking... If you are asking if your car takes more gas then it specified in the manual, it means that you car needs tune up. If you are asking why your car is not as economical as newer cars, then the answer is when your car was made fuel consumption requirements were different. Also technologically it was not possible.
In most automatic cars, in Great Britain where I live, all you have to do is put the car into D (Drive) and push the accelerator. This will automatically change the gears of the car up and down.
fuel is necessary for a car to drive
