if this is a GM motor there is a casting number on the top of the block behind the drivers side head,it is visible while the motor is installed on most vehicles,then all you need is a GM casting number book available at most automotive stores which also lists all engine component casting numbers and a range of vehicles they came on. 1999 Pontiac Montana drivers side power window down wont go up. New motor and different switch (used, may not be good), installed. Window still wont go up. Switched wires in plug at motor and motor does reverse when not installed in door. How does motor switch polarity? Is it done in the switch? I cant find any limit switches.
