Probably 5 psi to 60 psi.
My 2007 Volvo uses .5-.6 gph at idle (600 rpm), if I set it for a hi idle (900 rpm) it uses 1-1.1 gph.
The idle RPM for a Jaguar X-Type with a 5-speed automatic transmission typically ranges from 600 to 750 RPM when the engine is warm. This range can vary slightly depending on the specific engine and model year. It's important to consult the owner's manual or a service manual for the exact specifications for your vehicle.
c.s. magnet
check your EGR valve
it's an EGR valve and yes if there plugged and or stuck they will cause engines to idle very strange at times and or stall. had the same problem in my 89 GTA trans-am.
I looked into this about 5 years ago. idle is not user adjustable and the 92 is factory set to idle very slow about 800 to 900 rpm. I think it is computer controlled. Incorrect sir. There is a bolt under where the accelator cable is connected that you can adjust and it WILL affect your idle, you can do this with a simple screw driver if you really feel that you need to.
If you mean the idle is high, then check for a vacuum leak somewhere around the intake.
Most people set the timing at idle speed. Around 700-800 rpm. If you have an advance timing light, you can set it for total timing, which is all in by 2800-3000 rpm.
most likely its the throttle position sensor they opperate on a 0 to 5 volt system if the vehicles computer cannot sense the voltage it does not know where the engine needs to idle its a 75 dollar part at the local autopac or napa
Computer needs to re-learn the idle. Spark plugs are bad. Valves are not properly gapped. Adjust Idle Speed on Throttle body.
i dont know mine does only at idle and i think i have a weak coil for 2 and 5 on my 95. or your idle air control vacuum motor
