possibly vapor lock...just take off ur gas cap...if not check if u have fuel pressure...there should be a pressure valve u can push with a key that will shoot fuel if u have pressure if u do the prob is in ur fuel system...if not its in the ignition system
It could possibly be the timing belt. Chevrolet recommends replacing it every 60,000 miles.

Possibly a leak in the coolant reservoir bottle.

Your water pump possible went out so you might want to check the water pump and also check the timing belt
The standard procedure is to admit your initial hypothesis turns out to be wrong and then proceed to explain why it was wrong and what really happened. Science is all about learning from your mistakes.

I had that problem on the freeway outside of Boise in my '85 4000s. Turned out it was the distributor, which had shattered on the inside. Other than that, I'd check the EFG valve.
