It will have a plug to connect to the wires coming from the harness. This plug can be connected to the sensor with wires or sealed right into the sensor
It will have an end that sticks into a hole in the engine.
It may be directly held in the block or held in by clip but either way it will be held in by a screw or bolt.
The camshaft position sensor on a 1992 Buick Regal looks like the end of a ratchet.
Here is a link... With pictures of throttle positioning sensor... http://www.thepartsbin.com/repsite/ford~throttle_position_sensor~reparts.html
If you remove the distributor cap and rotor then you will see the cam sensor bolted on the distributor and it will have an electrical connector pluged into it.
looks similar to the camshaft sensor, but it's located in the bell housing on the transmission on passenger side.
when you open your hood and you look on the valve cover you see on your left side of top of your cover a cable sticking out from a black piece that is the positioning sensor that cranksup the car.
In a Ford 4.0 engine, the camshaft position sensor typically has a cylindrical or oval shape, often with a plastic housing and a metal mounting bracket. It usually features an electrical connector for wiring and may have a locating pin to ensure proper alignment when installed. The sensor is generally mounted near the camshaft, often at the front of the engine, and may have a visible reluctor wheel or gear for detecting position. Its size and specific design can vary slightly depending on the model year and specific application.
It depends on which sensor, O2/camshaft,etc. The O2 sensor is a straight metal sensor that is screwed into the exhaust. There is an upstream/bank1-sensor1 or down stream/bank1-sensor2 after the catalytic converter. A camshaft sensor is an L shaped, usually black sensor that is installed into the head closest to the firewall(bank1).
Climb up and lean over the top of the engine and look at the right rear corner of the intake and you will see it tucked in under the intake. It is right beside the oil sending unit. It is hard to see but it's there.
it is black, located at throttle plate, on side of throttle body.is held on by screws.
The camshaft position sensor is located on the end of the cam. When you open the hood look at the piece that you put your oil into. Follow that all the way to the right and on the end you will see the sensor. All it is is two bolts and a plug.
The camshaft sensor typically appears as a small, cylindrical or rectangular component, often made of plastic or metal. It usually has a wire harness attached to it for electrical connections. The sensor may feature a magnetic or Hall effect design to detect the position of the camshaft. Its size and shape can vary depending on the vehicle model and manufacturer, but it generally fits into a designated slot near the engine's camshaft.
Open your bonnet look where the ecotec cover is to the left of that there will be a wire that goes in a gap that's 4 your cam sensor
