Sometimes it means a startup faze has finished, sometimes it means theres a hardware issue, sometimes it means nothing like saying hello. Dont let it bother you unless something is not working properly my custem built desktop always does a single beep after BIOS boots and detects the hadware and i never had trobble with it.
